I am the Game designer boy, I'm the one who makes games (Unity Tutorial 1)

The world of unity

Well hello to you Lads and Ladies to another one of my fantabulous and stupendous blog. So I have done a lot of chin wagging in the last few days and while trying to do that (as well trying to survive in an non-internet environment in my humble abode for nearly the last week) I have been starting to enter into the world that is known as Unity and starting to learn of the wondrous ways that I, the esteemed Fancy Man Sam, have begun to learn, where soon enough I can say that I am the Game Designer Boy, I'm the one that makes games. So let me tell you all I have learned about it so far.

So I wasn't just jumping into the deep end of this vast ocean of Game Development and be expecting to be making a major triple A game in about a week, as it would be a bit too crazy and completely bonkers to expect that from a novice. S o rather you begin to dip your toes into the shallow end in hopes that everything seems find and then slowly make you way in till you are fully immersed into the world of Game Development and be making those big Triple A games. I have been taught by the chap that goes by the name of Jimmy Vegas (strange, it feels like I have come across this fellow in the barren wastelands of New Vegas after the fallout, but I may be thinking of someone else) and through his teachings, I have begun my journey into the world of Game Design. From the abundance of the first three pieces I have learned for the beginning stages I have learned about the manipulation of  3d objects like spheres, cubes, planes and even the work of terrain and from what i can already tell I can already see that while it does look easy it will probably be a lot of hard work and thought process to get it to fully run and look anywhere close to playable and exciting and what not.

These are just from the early stages of the creation of the landscape from the use of playing around with the terrain and made some mountains from the editing of the land. I have a lot to go before I will be making the likes of vast cities and magical worlds, but it is all in the joy of creating and learning how it's done for the enjoyable and educational journey. Because after all we love games and this just helps that out.

Well that's enough Ching waggling for the moment. Now if you'll excuse me I have a piping hot cup of tea with my name on it that's calling me. Be sure to come back as I continue on my journey to create a video game. Until next time.

Cheerio!!!
