A poor blogger blames his tools

Well hello again Lads and Ladies to another blog from yours truly and yet another blog of odd as I want to briefly talk about another thing coming from my last blog post on the whole game development course post and that is about the weird and wonderful tools that I will be learning to use and how they will work in my favour for the future.
So you may be saying "oh video game development is so easy, you just got to type some code and your done", well it's a lot more it then just that. Some of it is writing code but that is after you have created a concept world and it's graphics so that you are not just staring into the void of just endless code. Sure there is writing involved with this module (mainly with the aforementioned code and from this blog by yours truly) but it all comes in due time. You got all of that?
Anyway when it comes to creating a game you need to have the write software tools for that. This is where the likes of Unity and Graphics creator come into play. These will be the main foundation to the whole situation. The Graphics Creator is where you will the textures and wire framing aesthetics that will be base land for your game itself. It could be from the lush green field of a mysterious little magical town to hot sands of the desert to even the crazy outer worlds of Outer Space, this is where it starts. From there you would incorporate those design textures into the Unity engine to make sure that they run properly and that it can handle all those pixels into your stupendous world that you have created.

So you've created a world, then you are going to need a character or thing to control to explore this world right? well of course you do. The Graphics creator and unity will help you crete this character that will be the hero, the adventurer, the clumsy fool or whoever or whatever you want them to be. But there is always a feeling tat you want to make this character unique and give him a specific look. So why not have a look through some online sources to help find some concept ideas that you can be inspired by to help give your character that "unique" look to them. Some of the best places to look could be the likes of Pinterest, Deviantart, Tumblr or wherever you see the works of art being placed online to get ideas to inspire your creation.

So you have you world, you have your character, now you just need to make a concept of the game and to make it work of course. Unity is the one stop shop for where this will happen and where the concept of all that code will come into play. The coding will help to make sure that your character can move, interact and even talk if needs be and to make sure that the game doesn't become a glitchy broken mess.

Trust me you don't want that. While they may be hilarious and some pure knee slappers they are pure frustrating when you find them. So all I say is take your time and you'll do it right and everything will work out in the end. The same goes with the concept and the story of your game.

Now after all that work that you put into your game, you want to get it out there to show it off and maybe get some feedback. Sometimes sharing it with a large community could be a good thing. Collaboration sites like Padlet can be a good thing as you can show it to people and they can help you improve it with you or help to find bugs and even give you opinions to help you out and sometimes that little opinion can go a long way to greatness and could even begin your career into this world of Game Development. And for the added integrity, why not create some concept pieces like artwork or idea concepts that you had and show them off. Who knows they may inspire others and could even be used again down the road if you continue on this journey of Game creation. And that what it's all about.

Well that it's from me for now Lads and Ladies. I hope that all that I have rambled about here was a-ok and not just a big ol' bunch of poppycock. Anyways until the Next time Cheerio!!!
